Furthermore, overexertion, such as lifting, pushing, pulling, holding, and carrying is the leading cause of workplace injuries.
To prevent injuries such as these, all Deployed Resources employees are asked to apply the “5 Seconds for Safety” rule to each and every work task to which they are assigned. This technique helps guarantee that they take the proper time to first think about their tasks at hand and ensure they are utilizing the proper personal protective equipment, tools, and/or resources to complete a task in the safest manner possible.
The American Society of Safety Engineers has found that “a comprehensive workplace safety program can decrease the likelihood of a workplace injury by up to 50 percent.” This demonstrates why having organization-wide programs and policies in place, such as “5 Seconds for Safety,” is important to install in companies like Deployed Resources.
Furthermore, Deployed Resources team members are cross-trained to accomplish multiple functions across all required disciplines; they are also experienced in working in sensitive areas with heightened safety, security, and confidentiality requirements – ensuring all are capable of handling the unconventional and unpredictable. All team members are background checked, drug-free, OSHA-trained, and either have or are eligible to obtain Transportation Worker Identification Cards (TWIC).
